St Giles Hermitage, Godshill, Southampton Road, Fordingbridge, SP6 2LE

St Giles has not re-opened for regular worship since the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions. The Parochial Church Council has supported the setup of the ‘Save St Giles Group’ (SSGG) with the purpose of exploring how to eco-convert the church building into an appropriate space for use by the local and wider communities, whilst preserving its special spiritual ambience.

The SSGGs Phase 1 work has led to the creation and installation of information panels describing Godshill history. This, coupled with a re-arrangement of the internal space, has created an attractive venue for visitors, provides a continued sense of identity for the village and provides a showcase for Christian activity in the Avon Valley Churches and beyond. The Church has been open to visitors since Easter 2022.
