Churchwarden - Breamore
Richard served in the RAF at home and abroad for over 25 years. After a final posting in the Pentagon, he then held a variety of jobs with the Foreign Office and Reserve Army, including the Cabinet Office during the 2nd Gulf War. He later worked for several years across the Balkans, initially with the European Commission and then as deputy to Lord Ashdown in Bosnia, before running operations from Sarajevo for the Organisation for Security & Cooperation in Europe. More recently he helped his wife Elaine to run her aesthetic skin clinic in Cyprus, before they settled in Breamore last year. In addition to Church Warden, Richard works with a business development consortium and in his spare time helps brief the House of Commons Select Defence Committee. He considers it a great privilege to be able to worship in what he regards as the most beautiful church in the country.
