I was born in Hammersmith hospital in London to a large non-religious family; I have six sisters and two brothers. But, through the vagaries of life I subsequently lived on a farm in Wiltshire and then another in Cumbria, and later on a Thames Sailing Barge!
Somewhere in the middle of all that I was fostered at the age of 13. So, as you can see, as for all of us, life has had its ups and downs. But, by the grace of God I became a Chrisian at the age of 22 and I’ve never looked back.
God has blessed me in so many ways, with the churches I have served in, with his amazing grace, and with my wonderful wife and family. The Lord really is my shepherd (Psalm 23) and I thank him for leading me, be it beside still waters or in dark valleys, He is always with us, thanks be to God.
I am passionate about the Gospel, about evangelism, and about the local Church which is probably the most wonderful institution in history. God has set us in our churches to be light to those in darkness, and what a privilege that is. My mission is to serve you, love you and worship with you, and to work with you in bringing the good news of Jesus to our communities.
One further thing that I must mention is that I am also the chair of trustees of Umoja Boys, a charity rescuing street children in Kenya, you can find us on Facebook if you search for Umoja Boys Rescue Centre. Many years ago God laid the poor of Africa on my heart and, as you know, he calls us all to be good Samaritans to those who are in need, May God help us all to be so.
