Laura Cowdery
Digital Communications
With a background in journalism, public relations and more recently in online copywriting and digital communications, Laura joined the AVC team in November 2020 to help connect congregations and grow Church, through online, social media and public relations.
Laura grew up further north in Hampshire, in a village near Basingstoke, before upping sticks to move to Papua New Guinea with her parents where she went to an International High School. Back in the UK she studied English and Music at Liverpool University and afterwards the NCTJ Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism at Brighton whilst working for a record label.
After working for papers, magazines and doing PR for a music festival, Laura became involved with charity work and has never looked back. She now finds doing meaningful work addictive and is so delighted to be part of the AVC team.
Laura married husband Jim at Hyde Church where all 3 children of her children were baptised. She is thoroughly enjoying meeting and getting to know each team and all the communities within the AVC family to help share news, views and stories.
